Who is eligible to apply for a medical school scholarship?
BNCA restricts medical school scholarship funding to applicants who resided in Essex County, MA during their secondary school years.
How are medical school scholarship recipients selected and notified?
One applicant will be selected from a competitive application process. BNCA will notify applicants about award decision.
How are medical school scholarships awarded and presented?
This is a one-time, non-renewable $15,000 scholarship. The scholarship awards will be presented at a special reception on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at Danversport in Danvers. The scholarship award recipients are required to attend (exceptions may be granted by the scholarship committee).
How are medical school scholarship payments secured?
In order to secure the scholarship payment, scholarship recipients must submit written documentation from the college/university to BNCA indicating that the recipients are actively enrolled for the fall 2025 semester.
