$2,500 Memorial Scholarship

The Debbie Plunkett Memorial Scholarship was established by the Plunkett Family and Friends. Two $1,750 were awarded in 2024. The first to Giselle Vides Perlera, a high school student from Lynn Vocational Technical Institute and to Camilo Cartagena from Lynn Classical High School.

Debbie Plunkett of Lynn, passed away after a 10 year battle with cancer. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Debbie faced many obstacles during her battle with cancer and fought with courage and grace till she passed. She loved life and donated her time with many cancer walks over the years and raised money for cancer—she had her mantra Life is Good! She always had a positive attitude and lived this positive attitude till the end. Debbie’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends and those who knew her. Through this scholarship her memory will live on!
